Today’s feature were part of a golden era of hip hop in the 90s, specifically the east coast that could also be the poster group for out of control circumstances taking away their promise. In the mid 90s they placed many hits on the billboard charts with their rugged but celebratory style, not known for being as aggressive as a lot of rappers were being in that time. Their 95 debut single "Lifestyles of the Rich & Shameless”, Which also led to the group being signed to Uptown/Universal records, became their first billboard 100 song that focused on the trails and tribulations that come with living in the ghetto in the 90s. From having to sell crack in order to have the nice clothes cars and fly girls, to even females being caught up in the fast life of the streets and indulging in the crack era trend popular in black communities and it not turning out so well. It also gives us a look a how the Lost Boyz got started, following the crowd and trying their own hand at selling drugs on the block, until they quickly realized they would have to adjust to the extreme cold weather and random police chases at any moment, causing them to focus more on making music and legal drug money as they called it. The group would drop a second gold album in 1997, before the mistaken identity murder of Freaky Tah in 1999 leaving a party on brother of Mr Cheeks wedding day.
