⁣What got me about this one is that despite that insane spike in missing persons that are implied to ALL be sucked into the backrooms, whenever anyone goes there it's totally pristine. Finding any evidence of other people that have been trapped there seems to be incredibly rare and difficult. And yet, the fact that you CAN find evidence at all means that they don't just disappear and fall into the void, they do leave physical corpses and their marks on the environment don't magically fade away. The interior appears to be more or less a 'normal' physical space aside from its layout and size. For some reason that's way more horrifying than if it was a magical nonsensical dimension with its own rules. Its only weapon is that it's infinitely big. Even the mold seems to come as just a side effect of that.
