About

Meet L. James Bolin, a rising writer from Tallulah, Louisiana! He's had quite the journey, starting with lots of travels across the southern United States because of his step-dad's Army service during the Vietnam War.

His spiritual path began in El Paso, where he got introduced to the Pentecostal church by Florida Williams. Then in Shreveport, Louisiana, he learned a lot from Pastor Robin M. Jones and Dr. Rabbi Evelyn Khelama. Their teachings really struck a chord with him.

In high school, Bolin got into writing poetry, which later turned into writing songs for a local music group with his family and friends. Even though the group didn't become super famous, it sparked something in Bolin to keep creating.

Growing up, he was exposed to comedians like George Carlin and Richard Pryor, which helped shape how he saw the world and influenced his writing style.

After his time in the military, Bolin moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989. There, he met Mr. George West, Jr. from Talent Across the Nation (T.A.N) Booking Agency. Mr. West taught him a lot about the music industry and even made him his assistant. Through this job, Bolin got to meet lots of cool artists, which inspired him to write about both the good and not-so-good parts of life.

Using what he learned from T.A.N Booking Agency, Bolin started his own music groups like M.D.M (Mixed Down Melody) and worked with a female R&B group called Ajani. He also teamed up with Kurt Masters and Timeless Music, Inc., to promote his work and help out his friends in the music scene.

In 2005, Bolin went back to Shreveport, Louisiana, after facing some tough times, like having his songs stolen. But even with setbacks, he never stopped writing. He took up novel writing as a new adventure, showing his strength and love for writing through it all.
