Circle, this is a circle. It goes round and round. It goes round and round. Like the wheels on the bus, all around the town. Like the nose of a clown that is red and round.
Triangle, this is a triangle. It has three sides. And three nice angles. Ok, look around. You know what I mean, a triangle like the cone of my ice cream.
Square, this is a square. Four sides, they’re the same everywhere. That’s right, just like I said. Four corners, like my slice of bread.
Rectangle, this is a rectangle. We can find this shape everywhere we look. Like a bus, or a door, it’s also the shape of a book.
Oval, this is an oval. It’s round and it has no sides. It’s the shape of an egg or a football, and the track where the racecars drive.
Trapezoid, this is a trapezoid. It has four sides, just take a browse. Trapezoids, we see them everywhere, like a bucket or the roof of a house.
Rhombus, this is a rhombus. Look up, we can find one in the sky. It’s the shape of a kite, it’s the shape of a diamond, use your hands to throw a rhombus up high.
Pentagon, this is a pentagon. It has five sides, we can count them all. You can find them anywhere, if we just look around, like the patterns on a round soccer ball.
Hexagon, this is a hexagon. It has six sides, yeah we’re in the zone. Ask me, where can we find it, then I’ll show a big honeycomb.
Octagon, this is an octagon. It has eight sides, we’re on top. We see it everyday, on our way to school, it’s the shape of the sign that says “STOP”!
