"For all his work as a community activist, Colin Kaepernick, a former NFL quarterback and entrepreneur, will receive the 2026 Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

He has done a lot for the community. For example, he is the founder of the Know Your Rights Camp, which educates and supports youth. He has also launched Lumi, an Al platform that uses storytelling to grow literacy in classrooms. He also founded Kaepernick Publishing and has written children's books for young readers.

"Receiving the Muhammad Ali Center's Humanitarian of the Year Award is an incredible honor," Kaepernick said. "Muhammad Ali understood that our platforms are not simply ours to benefit from, but ours to use in service of others."
