A school bus carrying 19 children was rolling down a St. Paul, Minnesota, street with its doors open after the driver suffered a medical emergency. The children were frightenedβand someone had to act fast.
Ebro Ahmed, 27, was outside a convenience store when he spotted the bus and realized something was wrong. Without hesitation, he ran after it and climbed aboard, even though he had never driven a school bus before.
In the scramble to stop the bus, it briefly began moving backward. With help from two girls near the front, Ebro managed to shift it into neutral and pull the parking brake. The bus stopped, and all 19 children were safe. The driver was later released from the hospital.
Ebro risked his own safety to help children he had never metβand helped them get home to their families. His courage deserves to be recognized.
If you were one of those parents, what would you say to Ebro? Share a message of thanks and help make sure he knows how much his actions matter.
