"Cleveland Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders broke the single-season NFLPA licensing record in 2025, earning $17.7 million in group marketing and merchandise revenue, nearly doubling Tom Brady's previous record of $9.5 million set in 2021-22. The income came from licensing deals tied to jerseys, trading cards, video games, and collectibles, distributed across 13 payments to his company. His largest check was $9.24 million on May 16, 2025, shortly after the NFL Draft, believed to be connected to a pre-negotiated trading card deal.
The total does not include personal endorsements with brands like Gatorade, Beats by Dre, and Delta Airlines. Fellow rookie and former college teammate Travis Hunter earned the second most at $12.8 million. Despite sliding to 144th overall in the fifth round of the draft, Sanders' licensing income alone nearly quadrupled his entire four-year, $4.65 million rookie contract."
