While traveling on the train to downtown Chicago, looking out the window I had a thought. The scene reminded me of a Leslie Odom, Jr. song titled "Foggy", so I had an idea. Thinking of the song I wanted to capture what the song would convey, at that moment, peering out the train window. Something along the lines of what Gordon Parks would photograph but in video form.
People love to blame the spell.
The ritual.
The altar.
But in Hoodoo, the crossroads don’t lie — you do.
🕯️ If your petition keeps failing,
If your jar ain’t working,
If the road seems blocked…
Check your honesty.
Not just with others — but with yourself.
This post is a call to spiritual accountability.
Because every road leads somewhere — unless your spirit lied at the gate.
