While traveling on the train to downtown Chicago, looking out the window I had a thought. The scene reminded me of a Leslie Odom, Jr. song titled "Foggy", so I had an idea. Thinking of the song I wanted to capture what the song would convey, at that moment, peering out the train window. Something along the lines of what Gordon Parks would photograph but in video form.

You can forgive someone and still decide they no longer have access to you.

Forgiveness does not require you to reopen a door that you worked hard to close. You can release the emotional hold of what happened while keeping the boundaries that protect who you are becoming.

Forgiveness releases the emotional hold. Boundaries protect the recoded you.

Through The Human Recoding Theory™, Johanna Sparrow® explores how our experiences can shape what we believe about love, trust, relationships, family, and ourselves—and how awareness can help us begin changing the patterns we no longer want to carry.

Forgive when you're ready. Keep the lesson. Protect your peace.
