While traveling on the train to downtown Chicago, looking out the window I had a thought. The scene reminded me of a Leslie Odom, Jr. song titled "Foggy", so I had an idea. Thinking of the song I wanted to capture what the song would convey, at that moment, peering out the train window. Something along the lines of what Gordon Parks would photograph but in video form.
And Just Like That...
You stopped begging for what should have been given freely.
You chose yourself.
And you walked away.
Sometimes healing is not found in staying.
Sometimes strength is found in leaving what no longer honors your worth.
Choosing yourself is not selfish.
It is self-respect.
It is courage.
It is growth.
🤍 Choose peace.
🤍 Choose healing.
🤍 Choose yourself.
