While traveling on the train to downtown Chicago, looking out the window I had a thought. The scene reminded me of a Leslie Odom, Jr. song titled "Foggy", so I had an idea. Thinking of the song I wanted to capture what the song would convey, at that moment, peering out the train window. Something along the lines of what Gordon Parks would photograph but in video form.
She lit candles.
She prayed Psalms.
She bathed her jars in moonlight.
But her blessings kept falling through her fingers.
Why?
Because the spell wasn’t on her.
It was coming from her mouth.
🕯️ Gossip carries energy.
And in Hoodoo, your mouth is an altar — or a trapdoor.
This is a spiritual PSA for the ones who speak curses in the name of “concern.”

FAITH HAS TO BECOME LOUDER THAN YOUR “WHAT IFS.”
You don't know everything tomorrow will bring.
But you DO KNOW GOD WILL BE THERE.
So instead of asking:
“WHAT IF?”
Start declaring:
“EVEN IF.”
Even if things don't happen my way—GOD IS FAITHFUL.
Even if I don't understand—GOD IS FAITHFUL.
Even if I have to walk through something difficult—GOD IS STILL FAITHFUL.
