While traveling on the train to downtown Chicago, looking out the window I had a thought. The scene reminded me of a Leslie Odom, Jr. song titled "Foggy", so I had an idea. Thinking of the song I wanted to capture what the song would convey, at that moment, peering out the train window. Something along the lines of what Gordon Parks would photograph but in video form.
Courts, laws, and public records rely on how people were recorded — not on labels
created later. When the original classification of a harmed population disappears
from use, legal protection weakens.
