How a Random Text Got Me a Lakers Role

Coach Peyton Mortellite shares how one unexpected text message changed the direction of his career — and eventually opened the door to a role with the Los Angeles Lakers.

What started as a simple connection turned into multiple interviews, a move to L.A., and an opportunity to work at the highest level of basketball.

Sometimes the opportunity you’re waiting for comes when you least expect it.
