I am from Brooklyn NY but have been happily married living in Cali for almost 20 years now. Some would say I’m a full stack web developer but I’ll say I’m fairly decent in that field. I started dabbling in web development in the early 2000s as a member of blackplanet but found most of my success in content creation where I learned to monetize the internet.

I Founded a YouTube MCN Welcome2Media with my wife in 2012 and we managed a portfolio of 150 channels that generated over 10B views on YouTube.

One of those channels was for our oldest son ItsJFunk who Is currently reaching 100M viewers a month on social media.

During meetings we’d have at YT I noticed so few black representatives and even fewer in executive positions. It was a struggle fighting for equality for our people in the digital space so we decided to create our own space.

TheBlackTube has been around since January 2020 and has gradually grown. We reach 2-5M monthly viewers and just had our most successful month July 2025 seeing a 5X growth.

On TheBlackTube every user can instantly monetize earning pay for not just uploads but engagement as well.
