In the early 2000s, Joe Budden was poised to be next up from the east coast. He jumped on the scene with a flow that was unique to the times and a hit song to go along with it in "Pump it up". He then introduced his fans to a more deeper side through his "Mood Musik" series, but none of it resulted in good enough sales at the time for record Label Def Jam to keep him around. He's had beefs with Jay-z, Drake, and a host of others along the way and never shied away from the competition. Many thought it was over at that point for Budden, who then found himself with a breath of fresh air in the group "Slaughterhouse", signed to Eminem. Maybe just Joe's luck, but things didn't workout there either and the group disbanded, leaving Joe with another tough decision. He then retired and began his most successful venture. Podcasting.
