⁣Today’s feature may be the perfect example of a rap fall off. But I sympathize with designer because on one hand, art was never meant for everyone to enjoy, all at once, and for all artist to have great success. But this is hip hop. This is entertainment. And these are the times he’s living in, where everything moves at lightning speed, especially this generation of rap music and holding on to fans. Designer is the perfect example of what the social era has bred, and it still being in its first stages unfortunately some artist had to have become casualties. In 2016 Desiigner was a bright light. The herd flocked to him because of his catchy song called “Panda” that captured all the ingredients social media needed to catapult him to stardom. It was high energy. The beat was perfect for the times in its UK grime and Southern influence, And its creator represented the era of what you’d call mumble rap to its tee, that was becoming popular in 2016. And the last very important element to its recipe, is somehow one of the biggest artist of all time eventually heard the song and thought it was good. Of course that would be Kanye west and Good music. Kanye decided to remix the song, use it for his album, and Designer blew up. He became hip hop's most sought after new star, and was even nominated for a grammy. Just a few years later, his star has since cooled off, fans have all but forgotten about him, and most see him as a one hit wonder that fell off.
