About
My name is Stephanie Simmons, an independent travel agent and business mentor committed to creating opportunities and building stronger communities.
I help entrepreneurs start and own their own travel agencies, and I specialize in organizing group travel experiences worldwide. My mission goes beyond travel—I am using these opportunities to raise funds for nonprofits through planned trips and music events that will help cover startup costs for impactful community programs. One of my key initiatives is launching an effective Welfare-to-Work program designed to empower individuals and families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Too many people believe that “just getting a job” solves the problem, but poverty and homelessness are far more complex. Many families struggle because of systemic barriers, lack of resources, and limited access to effective services. Real change starts with addressing these issues at the root. It begins by teaching our youth strong values, life skills, and providing alternatives to negative influences. Today, too many young people spend hours on social media or in the streets because they lack direction and opportunity. It’s time for the community to take action. That’s why I created SKSOTS (Skills, Knowledge & Support On The Streets)—a comprehensive after-school and vocational training program that keeps youth engaged, educated, and prepared for success. SKSOTS will provide: Academic support and homework assistance Vocational training in cosmetology, barbering, culinary arts, fashion and interior design, mechanics, graphic design, and technology Administrative skills, typing, real estate and insurance training Job placement with local businesses Support services for families, welfare-to-work clients, and newly released inmates Housing resources, mental health assistance, and addiction recovery programs Our approach is holistic, targeting education, employment, stability, and personal growth. To sustain these programs, we will build businesses in the U.S. and abroad, including Black-owned online clothing stores, soul food restaurants, and real estate investments. These ventures will create long-term financial support and economic independence—without relying on unstable systems.
Through group travel and business ownership, I am uniting people to experience the world, explore opportunities abroad, and invest in a brighter future.
Join me in making Black America independent again. Together, we can break cycles of poverty, empower our youth, and build thriving communities.
