Introducing Ziggy Belle
Ziggy Belle is a reinterpretation inspired by Baby Esther Jones, the young African‑American performer whose scat‑singing style helped shape early jazz performance that was the model for Betty Boop. Ziggy Belle is presented in three distinct forms of animation: Classic 1920s Rubberhose Animation, Standard American Anime, and Live Action. Each version is modeled after the 1926 character now in the public domain, Betty Boop, reclaiming the legacy of Baby Esther reimagined with modern flair and cultural depth. Together, these forms showcase Ziggy Belle as both a tribute to jazz‑age artistry and a fresh creative icon for today’s audiences.
