Woman
Rude Tymz Entertainment proudly announces the release of “Woman,” a sophisticated instrumental composition written, performed, produced, and recorded by Byron “B Rude” Burke, professionally known as Popâ Ur-Mää.
The release represents more than a new musical composition. “Woman” reconnects multiple generations of soul, dance, orchestral groove, and cinematic music culture rooted in the legacy of Philadelphia soul, New York underground dance music, and timeless live musicianship.
Additional piano, horn, and string arrangements were performed by Timothy “T Tymz” Ellison Sr., a musician associated with the legendary MFSB movement — the creative force connected to the unmistakable T.S.O.P. (The Sound Of Philadelphia) era heard throughout Soul Train and classic 1970s orchestral soul recordings.
The creative relationship between Popâ Ur-Mää and Timothy Ellison dates back to the original Rude Tymz Arkestra movement that emerged in New York around 2001. Their musical collaboration was built through deep roots in soul, dance, jazz-funk, orchestral arrangement culture, and independent artist development.
Popâ Ur-Mää was originally introduced to Timothy Ellison by the late Colonel Abrams, one of the pioneering voices of underground dance music and early house culture. Abrams became internationally recognized through classic recordings including “Music Is The Answer,” “Trapped,” “The Truth,” and “I’m Not Gonna Let You.” During the rise of New York’s underground club movement, Colonel Abrams helped bridge soul, electronic dance music, and emotionally driven songwriting into the mainstream.
At the time, Popâ Ur-Mää had been hired as a DJ for a Colonel Abrams record release event, which ultimately became the introduction point that connected him with Timothy Ellison and the musicianship behind the early Rude Tymz Arkestra sound.
That connection would later evolve into recordings such as “Keep On,” where Timothy Ellison contributed organ, vibes, and piano arrangements heavily inspired by the lush orchestral textures associated with early MFSB recordings and the golden Soul Train era.
Today, “Woman” continues that musical lineage.
Built around elegant instrumentation, soulful pacing, cinematic arrangements, and emotionally layered production, the composition creates a listening experience designed for audiences who appreciate musical sophistication and timeless artistry.
The production carries a smooth mid-tempo groove with reflective emotional energy, blending elements of soul, jazz-funk, cinematic lounge music, and modern instrumental storytelling.
