Why I Built This YouTube Channel: Why I Created Descendants of the Taken Ones
One reason is that it reminds me of my grandfather.
When I was young, we used to talk a lot. He told me that two of the most important things in life were words and land.
He said, “What you say with your mouth is one of the most powerful weapons in the world.” Words can build people up, and words can tear people down. He told me never to speak when I was angry because anger can make me say something I will regret. You can apologize all day long, but sometimes the hurt from those words does not go away.
The second thing he taught me was about land. He told me, “If you own land, keep it, because they are not making any more of it. And if they are, you probably cannot live on it.” I did not fully understand it when I was young, but the older I get, the more I understand what he was trying to teach me. Land means legacy. Land means stability. Land means something you can leave behind.
